This Privacy Notice is intended for applicants wishing to become a Wedriver and to arrange the provision of delivery services to Wedely (“Services”).Wedely needs to keep and process certain personal data provided by you or on behalf of your company to process your application in compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons regarding the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data and repealing Directive 95/46/EC (the “GDPR”).
Wedely acts as a data controller for any personal data.
What personal data is processed?
Wedely processes various categories of data depending on whether you are applying as an individual (“Freelancer”) or as a legal entity (“Company”).In both cases, we collect and process the following data:
Identification data: First name, last name, title, date and place of birth, social security number, driving’s license, identity documents and your availability to provide the Services;
Contact details such as email, phone number, postal address;
Financial information: bank account details (IBAN number);
Vehicle information: type of vehicle used, registration and vehicle insurance. If you are a Company, we also collect and process work-related data such as your professional email, phone number and job title.
For what purposes do we process your personal data?
We need your personal data to (i) process your application and provide you with feedback. In case your application is successful, your personal data will be processed to (ii) conclude a contract and communicate with you. Your personal data will also be stored so that we can (iii) identify, issue, or resolve legal claims that may arise in relation to your application or the contract.What are the legal grounds for processing your personal data?
The purposes explained above are based on the following legal bases:- Performance of pre-contractual measures;
- Performance of the contract;
- Legitimate interest, i.e., responding to any complaints from you or protecting our interests if there is a prospect of litigation.
Who is your personal data shared with?
To achieve the purposes mentioned above, the data is disclosed to the following recipients:- Internal employees who have permissions;
- External service providers operating on behalf of Wedely.
When your personal data is transferred (including in the case of remote access) to a country outside the European Union that is not subject to an adequacy decision, appropriate safeguards in accordance with Chapter V of the GDPR are put in place, such as standard contractual clauses adopted and approved by the European Commission.
How long is your personal data stored?
We keep your personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purpose of the processing and due to mandatory legal retention obligations.We delete your personal data when it is no longer required for the above-mentioned purposes unless a longer retention is required.
How does Wedely protect your personal data?
We undertake to implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to ensure the security of the personal data. This includes protecting the data against a breach of security leading to accidental or unlawful destruction, loss, alteration, unauthorised disclosure, or access to the data (personal data breach).In assessing the appropriate level of security, Wedely takes due account of the state of the art, the costs of implementation, the nature, scope, context and purposes of processing and the risks involved for the data subjects.
Your rights regarding your personal data
As a natural person, you have certain rights regarding your personal data including:- the right of access: You can request access to the data concerning you at any time as well as a copy of the data;
- the right to rectification: You can request at any time that inaccurate or incomplete data be rectified;
- the right to request the erasure of data: You can request that your data be deleted when, for example, the data is no longer necessary for the purposes for which it was collected or processed;
- the right to restriction of processing: You can request that Wedely restrict the processing of data if, for example, you question the accuracy of the data concerning you or if you object to the processing of data concerning you;
- the right to data portability: You have the right to have your data transferred to another data controller in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format, if the processing is carried out by automated means or if it is based on prior consent;
- the right to object to data processing: You can object to the processing of your data and can withdraw your consent if the processing is based on consent, for example if the data is used for commercial prospecting purposes.
For more information or if you wish to exercise your rights, please contact our Data Protection Officer (DPO) at privacy@wedely.com. Your request will be processed within 1 month and after verification of your identity. We may extend the time limit by a further 2 months if the request is complex or if we have received a high number of requests from individuals.

We keep this Notice under regular review, and may change, modify, add, or remove portions from this notice at any time.You will be informed of any changes or additions through updates to this notice available on Wedely website or through personal communication.
